Duties & Responsibilities
Every municipality must elect a treasurer by ballot vote every three years at the annual town meeting. (RSA 41:26) The treasurer is responsible for the custody, deposit and disbursement of municipal funds excluding Trust funds. The treasurer submits books, vouchers, and statements to the Selectmen and to the auditors when requested.
