Process for Filling Vacant Library Trustee Position.
An overview of how the Select Board will fill a Library Trustee vacancy is as follows.
At the March 31, 2022 The Select Board was notified of a resignation of a Library Trustee Member. As of April 1, 2022, The Select Board and Town Administrator Zoltko initiated the process for filling the vacancy. Any resident of New Durham interested in serving on the New Durham Library Trustees should submit a letter of interest and a completed “New Durham Talent Bank Application” no later than April 14, 2022 at 12:00pm to the Town Administrator. To be considered for the vacancy, Letters of Interest and the Talent Bank Application must be sent to the New Durham Town Administrator via email or via mail at New Durham Town Administrator, P.O. Box 207, New Durham, NH 03855 and please mark the envelop Library Trustee Vacancy.
All letters received will be submitted to the Library Director to provide to the Library Trustees and to the Select Board for review. Interested Residents will then be invited to a Public Review which will be conducted by the Select Board on April 21, 2022 at 6:00pm at the Town Hall, 4 Main Street, New Durham. The Select Board Chair may allow questions from those in attendance but under very strict Chair direction. Following that interview process, the Select Board will make the decision whether to fill the vacancy or to extend the search process. It is the Select Boards responsibility to make the decision on filling the vacancy, it is up to the Library Trustees to provide a recommendation to the Select Board at or prior to the meeting on April 21, 2022.
