2018 Cyclical Revaluation Data Collection- Starts April 4, 2018.

Assessing Pic

March 30, 2018

The Contract Town Assessor, Cross Country Appraisal Group, LLC will be visiting approximately 800+ New Durham properties as part of a 5 yr. "Cyclical Revaluation" process.

The appraisers will be measuring 1/3 of the properties a year and the data collected will be used for the next scheduled revaluation.  Property owners effected will be receiving a mailing, which was a brightly colored postcard.

The appraisers will be measuring the exterior of all buildings on the property, and if the homeowner or occupant is home he will seek permission to conduct a walk through the interior of the house.  If nobody is home the appraiser will measure the outside of the buildings and leave a note stating that they were at the property and that the homeowner will be contacted as a later date to request an interior inspection.

All appraisers have ID badges and signs on their cars.  A list of the appraisers with their pictures and license information is available at the Town Offices and Police Station.  The appraisers will only enter a property if there is a person 18 years of age or older to show them through the property.  Entrance to the property is not mandatory but it will help insure that your assessment will be accurate.

If you do not want an appraiser going on your property, please contact the Town Administrator at 859-2091 Ext #106 or via email at skinmond@newdurhamnh.us.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
