The Town Clerk Office for the town of New Durham ensures the accurate and efficient production, issuance and retention of vital records, dog licenses, automotive registrations, boat registrations and various permits.

The Town Clerk is a Notary Public and a Justice of the Peace. The Town does not charge for notary and justice of the peace services.

The Town Clerk office also administers a portion of the election process in accordance with state and local laws. This includes providing voter registration for the residents of New Durham. Voters may register with the Town Clerk's Office, but are not officially on the Checklist until the Supervisors of the Checklist meet and officially approve adding the voter to the checklist.

As Election Officials, the Town Clerk’s Office upholds the highest standards of conduct safeguarding the integrity of all elections. The Town Clerk’s Office does not publicly support/promote any candidate whose name appears on the ballot nor supports/promotes articles placed on the ballot.
